2/17/12 - 2/19/12: Weekend in Review


Let me see, as I try to remember what I did this weekend.

Friday we went to Heather's (I promised I'd blog about her feeding me bad food) and had pizza, fried pickles, and chips. Oh, and about 1,500 tootsie rolls (not literally)... and drinks of course.

Saturday.... Oh! Saturday we went out to Tokyo Steakhouse. Rice, noodles, salad, soup, turtle roll, steak, and chicken. De-fricking-licious.

Sunday we went to Beer Barrel for dinner. I don't know what's up with me saying I was going to workout on Sunday... it just never seems to happen. Sigh.

Coming up Cami and I are headed to Nashville, and I'm not too sure about working out there either. We actually leave tomorrow morning at like 4AM. We'll blog from the road!

2/16/12: Dinner


Well, Community Market had frozen pizzas on sale. Whoops.

With being so behind on these blog posts, I'm not too sure of the stats for this workout. While I'm working out I usually write them in my phone, but I have several here.... so I'm just going to take a guess.

Along with a 100 calorie Nutty Bar and a zero calorie Powerade. And for old time sake...


2/16/12: Breakfast


I'm really starting to dig this Apples and Peanut Butter stuff. It fills you up so much, and I'm hardly even hungry by the time lunch rolls around. Today was also another full day of hanging up posters. So I felt super good about myself. I also got a new apple cutter last night, which I was extremely excited to use!



2/15/12: Dinner


And because I didn't workout, and had such a long day of walking all over the place, I had decided I wanted to splurge. So we went to Olive Garden, and really, I get the Chicken Marsala which is only around 700 calories... not terrible for dinner? It's them damn breadsticks that getcha.

2/15/12: Workout


Didn't happen.

I had decided after a long day of walking all over town, and hopping in and out of a vehicle that's 5 feet off the air, I had done my exercise for the day! Meh. I know. I'm bad. But oh, well.

2/15/12: Lunch


Well, there's an upside and a downside to today's Lunch. Cami and I are out hanging up posters for our  St. Jude Concert so we stopped at Burger King... I did get a salad instead of fries, but also got a Whopper. At least we're out and about walking all over and hanging up posters.

2/15/12: Breakfast


I'm so far behind! So I'm gonna try to make these next couple of posts quickly...

Apples and Peanut Butter! They really feel you up, and the amount of protein is great for you in the morning.

2/14/12: Dinner


Yeah this is gonna be a little rough...

I decided that because I ate bad for lunch, I should eat what I originally brought to work for lunch... for dinner. Just as before, the Top Chef Chicken Marsala... wasn't that good this time around, but just as cheap... only 240 calories.


I figured that because I didn't eat all of it (it wasn't that good, so there was a lot of that sauce it swims in and veggies left over) I wanted something else. When I was at the store tonight I was looking for a good snack that was healthy. So I found some... Special K Cheddar Cracker Chips... 


Not that good. Maybe it's the cheddar flavor I'm not a fan of? But the other flavors didn't sound appetizing at all. So I got about 10 chips in and decided... eh. So lets see 27 chips are 110 calories. So 27/110=4.08. So about 4 calories per chip. So.... 10 chips, we'll say 40 calories.

And... because I was still hungry... :-/ ....


Yep. That's 210 calories. But... at least the peanut butter has protein... right? Grand total on the night, 490. Not bad for a dinner I guess. Oh yeah, I also had a pickle.... not pictured. 0 calories, lots o sodium. Oops. :P

2/14/12: Workout


Decent workout I guess? I talked to some ladies at work, and it made me feel worse about myself... It's been almost 3 weeks and I've lost 3 pounds. I guess a pound a week isn't... bad? I don't know. Sigh.

Today's Reason: 10. So I have more energy.

2/14/12: Lunch


Well, for starters, no breakfast this morning... so much to do at work today!

For lunch, I caved in... our sales manager brought in Pizza for clients so Phil and I went down to westgate and got the pizza buffet. 4.5 slices of pizza total (cut in squares), a piece of garlic toast, and a diet dr. pepper!


2/13/12: Dinner


Homemade tacos! I was only going to have two, but I can't justify throwing away food because I don't want to eat anymore...there was so much meat left over so I had 4...


2/13/12: Workout


Very depressing workout. I struggled to finish as it was, and when I weighed myself, I was back up to 168.

Everyone I tell, "Oh, I haven't really been losing weight..." just says that muscle weighs more than fat. But. I don't think I'm doing all that much to increase muscle. Unless I'm getting my legs beefed up? Not sure, just feel like I should be losing more than I am... so it's extremely depressing.

2/10/12 - 2/12/12: Weekend in Review

I think I'd like to start taking one post to review what I did over the weekend, just generally speaking.


It was rough because we were at the mall all weekend long for our Home Health and Garden expo so I was stuck eating mall food. Friday night I had b dubs, saturday chinese for lunch with pretzels here and there, and Sunday I had a slice of pizza for lunch and mexican for dinner.


My only saving grace is I was quite active (more than usual anyway) on Saturday and Sunday setting up and tearing down stuff. To... tomorrow!

2/9/12: Workout

Because of not being able to work, I got the strength together to head to the gym early, and man did it make all the difference. I must be 20x more tired once I get home from work, because I didn't struggle at all. Although, the results weren't that rewarding, because I gained a half a pound from yesterday. I think I look... maybe... slightly thinner? But certainly don't feel it.

2/9/12: Breakfast/Lunch

Well, I woke up today and couldn't breathe or talk due to the cold I have... it's a little rough, so I called off work. We have a huge weekend coming up and I figured today was the day to try and get better because Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I have to be ... alive.


So I didn't do breakfast, because I was still in bed, and lunch consisted of taco bell. I had three tacos, an order of nachos and cheese, and a large soda. Yep. Pop. Sigh. Whatev. Probably around 1,000 calories. No picture, either :(

2/8/12: Dinner

Went with the Chef-Boy-R-Dee (I know, that isn't spelled correctly) homemade pizza kit, and some Parmesan Knots... which didn't turn out the greatest...

Peanut butter and jelly, a nutty bar, and an orange juice with 170 calories per bottle. Now, this is my second orange juice on the day. I'm getting sick. A cold, runny nose, sore throat. So... 300% of my daily need of Vitamin C at least?

I got to complete my workout today! And it felt good.

So the scale at the gym is in the bathroom, and that's usually where I take my picture. However, there was a rather...well... let's just say there was a woman who was in there quite some time who probably did some damage. I didn't want to risk it. So I forewent my weight and picture. Went with the bistro chicken caesar salad thing that I got last week at Walmart, and this time it rung up for 80 cents cheaper than it was supposed to! Along with cookies, and a lemonade.

Dinner was... sort of okay last night?


We had chicken breast marinated in some chipotle pepper seasoning (along with a little bit of BBQ sauce), biscuits, and salad with light ranch.



2/6/12: Workout

UGH!!!! So far behind on my posts!

Last nights workout happened, but didn't. I got out of work late, got to the gym, did half my running, dinner was done, went home, ate, and then did the rest of my workout stuff at home. So I wasn't able to get my weight, or stats.

The Reason, However: 5. So that when I see people they can say, "Have you been losing weight?"

Tonight should be okay, so I can get all my info! Dinner post from last night to follow.

2/6/12: Lunch

I was very excited when I found this dish in the healthy frozen food section of Walmart. It had a price sticker of $2.99 on it (which, if you think about it, isn't that bad for a lunch) and rung up for 2.49! What up!!!!


Anyway, today I'm enjoying a Healthy Choice now Top Chef Cafe Steamer, the Roasted Chicken Marsala with Mushrooms. One of those things you microwave for 5 minutes, then dump the noodles, chicken, and veggies into the sauce and mix that baby up.


240 calories!!! And it's delicious... spicy... (weird)... but delicious! While that calories are low, this thing does have some other issues... In my opinion it's high in Cholesterol, Sodium, and maybe a little high on the carbs.


I guess that's this world though, if you cut calories you have to have high everything else. Can we win at this eating game? I've determined, no.


Also with the lunch, a single wrapped Nutty Bar and Crystal Light Lemonade (not pictured).



2/6/12: Breakfast

Just the usual! I hit Walmart up last night to stock up on the yogurt.
Very excited to try something new for lunch...

This Weekend?

Okay, so as you may (or may not) have noticed, I really didn't post anything about this weekend, and there are a few reasons for that.


1. I do not intend to work out Friday and Saturday. Just a personal choice I guess? I only wanted to do 5 days a week, and most weekends are just too hard because I have other stuff going on.


2. I didn't eat the healthiest. I had a friend in town, so of course we went out for dinners and lunches, etc.


I feel bad because I worked so hard this week, lost a few pounds, and after this weekend, especially with the Superbowl, I probably just countered what I worked on all week.


Hopefully some weekends I won't have stuff going on so I'll workout. I also didn't get to work out yesterday, because of the Superbowl.


So yeah, not too sure what to do about the weekends, eating right, exercising, I guess I'm just going to try to do the best that I can, but probably won't post! Today's breakfast and lunch comin' atcha soon!

2/2/12: Dinner


So as always, I always feel bad about what I ear for dinner. I have technically have been losing weight thought, so I guess I shouldn't. Probably took in around 800 calories for dinner? Maybe? I guess. I don't know.

Chicken Nuggets, and some really old jalapino (yes I know that's spelled wrong, and it's spelled so incorrectly that the suggestions didn't even show the right word, so I'm leaving it) things. I baked them, of course.

Because I'm sitting at the laundromat for the next... I don't know, at least hour and a half, expect another blog post concerning this weekend!

2/2/12: Workout


Didn't feel like I did a lot during today's workout. So I don't know what that's all about.

I was actually rather excited for lunch today, Peanut Butter and Jelly! The only thing that could have made it better was a tall glass of milk!!! But oh, well.


Also went with the 100 calorie cookies... instead of overload on the Peanut Butter with a Nutty Bar, and lemonade. Something like... 20 calories per water bottle or something like that?

2/1/12: Dinner

I feel like I have to preface every one of my dinner posts, but, in my defense (I know, I know) I asked Kristen if I could. She said yes. lol.

I mean, let's look at the facts. If you're SUPPOSED to take in 2,000 calories a day. I take in around 600 (max) between breakfast and lunch, go to the gym and burn 600 (at least), I feel like I'm back at my 2,000 for dinner. Right? Right.

Yep, totally gave into that craving from yesterday. I looked up the nutrition information on what I had. Quesadilla? 510 calories. Nachos & Cheese? 330.Taco? 210. Raspberry Iced Tea? Actually couldn't find. But let's just end the tally right around 1,000.

To tomorrow? :-/ PB&J for lunch! I'm actually excited!

2/1/12: Workout


You ever see that Fruit Roll-Up commercial where one kid dares the other kid to jump up and down on one leg until he says stop, then at the end he has one beefy leg and one skinny leg?

That's what I feel like after today's workout.

I accidentally deleted the picture after my workout. Instead of clicking send, I clicked delete, tried to stop it, then ... well, there it went. I looked fatter than yesterday, oh, well... right? lol

Late lunch today, got caught up doing A LOT of work... 

Had another homemade salad. No chicken this time, and 100 calorie cookies!! They're 100% delicious, that's what the package says anyway?

I have a feeling tonight's dinner is going to be bad, I have a craving.

But, my workout is coming first! Looking forward to the results.
